Diversity: A Critique to The New York Times

The New York Times website, while organized, is not very diverse. While searching, I found that everything on the homepage is political. There is nothing about anything other than politics, which is not a good thing for a homepage of a news website. A homepage needs to include a diverse selection of news that a particular news company covers.

Using all one topic on a news homepage makes readers who are uninterested leave. The New York Times is a huge news company, and covers more than politics. They need to show the variety of stories they cover to make sure everyone has a choice in what to read. This would boost up ratings and viewers dramatically.

Not everyone is the same, so The New York Times needs to come up aith many different stories to cover on the homepage. Everyone sees the homepage first, and it is how they decide whether to read on this website or not. A news company has to be diverse to gain every reader’s attention.
